FBI: International Season Premiere Sees Departure of Heida Reed
Heida Reed, known for her role as Special Agent Jamie Kellett in FBI: International, has bid farewell to the show in its Season 3 premiere. Reed had previously announced that this season would be her last, but the specifics of her departure were not known.
In the episode, Agent Kellett reveals that she is leaving the Fly Team and transferring to the Washington, D.C. field office. She explains to Scott (Luke Kleintank) that after her sister’s suicide, she made a promise to live her life for both of them. Having served her country and experienced love while running away from her grief, she decides it’s time to go back home.
Reed took to Instagram after the episode aired to express her gratitude to fans for embracing Jamie Kellett. She posted a photo from the episode along with a heartfelt message thanking viewers for letting Jamie into their hearts.
To fill the void left by Reed’s departure, Christina Wolfe made her first appearance as Special Agent Amanda Tate in the same episode.
FBI: International follows the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s elite operatives of the International Fly Team. Based in Budapest, they travel around the world tracking and neutralizing threats against American citizens. The team relies on intelligence, quick thinking, and physical strength since they are not allowed to carry guns.
The cast of FBI: International also includes Carter Redwood, Vinessa Vidotto, Eva-Jane Willias, and Christina Wolfe.
The series is executive produced by Dick Wolf along with Derek Haas and Matt Olmstead, creators of Chicago Fire. Michael Katleman serves as director and executive producer while Arthur Forney and Peter Jankowski represent Wolf Entertainment as executive producers.
FBI: International is produced by Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television in association with CBS Studios.
