“Star Trek: Discovery”Fifth & Final Season to Premiere Globally on April 4

Paramount+ has confirmed that the fifth and final season of “Star Trek: Discovery” will make its debut on Thursday, April 4th, exclusively on the streaming platform. The highly anticipated season will comprise a total of 10 episodes, with viewers able to enjoy the first two installments on launch day and subsequent episodes released weekly on Thursdays.

In this final season, Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery embark on a thrilling adventure across the galaxy as they uncover a long-hidden ancient power. The mystery they unravel leads them to face dangerous adversaries who are also vying for control of this powerful force.

The cast of “Star Trek: Discovery” includes Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner. Elias Toufexis and Eve Harlow also join the cast in recurring roles.

The series is produced by CBS Studios in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Executive producers include Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Sonequa Martin-Green (who also serves as a co-showrunner), Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
