Krapopolis Faces an “Olive Oil Crisis,” May 5 on FOX
The animated comedy series “Krapopolis” returns with another whimsical episode, “Olive Oil Crisis,” airing tonight at 8:30 PM on FOX. Set in the ancient mythical Greek kingdom of Krapopolis, ruled by King Tyrannis and his eccentric family, this episode explores the challenges faced by the kingdom amid an olive oil crisis.
Krapopolis, created by Dan Harmon, presents a unique setting of a mix of humans, gods, and monsters trying to govern one of the world’s first cities. In this episode, Tyrannis, voiced by Richard Ayoade, tasks Shlub, voiced by Matt Berry, with the important mission of procuring olive oil for the kingdom. This comes at a time when olive oil is facing a crisis, with production in Spain, the world’s largest producer, expected to be significantly lower due to heatwaves and drought.
Deliria, the goddess mother of King Tyrannis, voiced by Hannah Waddingham, adds to the chaos in the kingdom. In this episode, she and Stupendous, voiced by Pam Murphy, transform into geese, causing Deliria to lose her memory. With feathers flying and tensions high, Deliria must navigate her husband Shlub’s centennial molting while also dealing with the olive oil crisis.
