Paramount+ Australia March 2023: Football, Biopics, and New Series Galore
This March, Paramount+ Australia adrenaline-pumping football action, top-notch biopics, and brand new series.
Kicking off the football action this month is the Emirates FA Cup Fifth Round taking place on March 1st and 2nd. Then, prepare yourself for the Quarter-Finals mid-month. And that’s not all, as local competitions such as the Isuzu UTE A-League and Liberty A-League continue with plenty of must-see matches in the Liberty A-League, leading up to the all-important Finals campaigns in April.
On March 2nd, don’t miss the exclusive premiere of the biopic “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” Starring Daniel Radcliffe and Rainn Wilson, this movie tells the true story of the unconventional upbringing and rebellion that eventually saw “Weird Al” Yankovic become a sex symbol for his success in changing the words to world-renowned songs.
Then, on March 4th, catch the brand new series “The Real Friends of WeHo”, which follows a select group of influential and successful LGBTQI+ celebrities and businessmen in the West Hollywood community.
“Corpo Libero (The Gymnasts)” premieres on March 9th. Based on the bestselling novel by Italian author Ilaria Bernardini, this six-episode series revolves around a team of elite female teenage gymnasts in an international competition high up in the snowy Italian Alps. However, rivalry and complex relationships threaten the young athletes during the most important week of their lives.
Also premiering on March 9th is “The Challenge: World Championship,” a limited series that sees twenty-two of the most iconic, boldest, and fiercest Challenge All Stars from “The Real World” and “Road Rules” returning for a second chance at the ultimate competition in the Andes Mountains of Argentina.
On March 10th, the exclusive new series “School Spirits” debuts, which follows the crime-solving journey of Maddie (Peyton List), a teen girl stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance.
All new episodes of “Transformers: EarthSpark” will be released on March 11th. Then, on March 14th, comes “The Journey: Andrea Bocelli,” an exclusive six-episode music documentary that follows Bocelli as he travels Italy’s Via Francigena on horseback in search of some of life’s greatest joys.
On March 17th, there is the premiere of movie “Unwelcome,” which follows a couple as they escape their urban nightmare for the tranquility of rural Ireland, only to find themselves caught up in stories of mysterious creatures.
Then, on March 24th, its the premiere of movie “Quattordici Giorni (14 Days),” a love story taking place during the COVID-19 pandemic. Also premiering that same day is the new season of “Yellowjackets,” chronicling the lives of a team of high school girl soccer players who become the survivors of a plane crash and their eventual descent into savage clans.
Finally, “Rabbit Hole” premieres on March 27th, following John Weir (Keifer Sutherland), a master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, who is framed for murder.
