Peacock’s ‘In the Know’ Premieres January 25th, Brings A-List Guest Interviews
Peacock has just dropped the official trailer for its upcoming show “In the Know” and also announced an impressive lineup of live-action guest interviewees. This highly anticipated show, created by Zach Woods, Brandon Gardner, and Mike Judge, is set to premiere on January 25th.
“In the Know” follows the story of Lauren Caspian, an NPR host who happens to be a stop-motion puppet. Each episode takes viewers behind the scenes of Lauren’s show, where he conducts in-depth interviews with real-world human guests. The show not only features Lauren but also a diverse crew of puppet NPR staff who are equally as nimrod-like and well-meaning as their host.
The voiceover cast includes Zach Woods, known for his roles in “Silicon Valley” and “The Office,” as the voice of Lauren Caspian. Mike Judge, the creative genius behind “Beavis and Butt-Head” and “King of the Hill,” lends his voice to the character of Sandy, a culture critic. Other voice actors include Caitlin Reilly as Fabian, a researcher and fact checker, Charlie Bushnell as Chase, a college intern, J. Smith-Cameron as Barb, a co-executive producer, and Carl Tart as Carl, the sound engineer.
“In the Know” has also lined up an impressive roster of live-action guest interviewees who will bring their star power to the show. The lineup features the likes of Kaia Gerber, Jonathan Van Ness, Ken Burns, Finn Wolfhard, Norah Jones, Tegan and Sara, Nicole Byer, Roxane Gay, Mike Tyson, Jorge Masvidal, and Hugh Laurie.
Produced by Universal Television, in collaboration with Bandera Entertainment and Shadowmachine, “In the Know” promises to be a unique adult animated comedy.
