SkyMed Season 2 Premieres January 11 on Paramount+
Paramount+ has announced that the second season of its medical drama series SKYMED will premiere on Thursday, January 11. All nine episodes will be available for binge viewing on Paramount+ and on demand. The international release will be on Friday, January 12, in all Paramount+ markets outside of Canada.
SKYMED follows the stories of young medics and pilots who fly air ambulances in Northern Canada. The new season will continue to showcase their personal journeys and intense medical rescues in remote conditions. The team will face intense emergencies and rely on each other for survival at 20,000 feet in the air. The season will explore new relationships, heartbreaks, and challenges as the characters navigate growing up and discovering whether they can grow together or apart.
The second season will feature returning series regulars Natasha Calis, Morgan Holmstrom, Praneet Akilla, Aason Nadjiwon, Mercedes Morris, Thomas Elms, and Kheon Clarke. New series regulars include Sydney Kuhne, Ryan Ali, and Nadine Whiteman-Roden. Recurring roles will be reprised by Braeden Clarke, Emilia McCarthy, and Aaron Ashmore.
SKYMED is produced by Piazza Entertainment in association with CBC and CBS Studios. The series is created by Julie Puckrin, who was inspired by her sister and brother-in-law’s experience flying air ambulances. Puckrin serves as executive producer alongside Vanessa Piazza and Gillian Hormel. Rhonda Baker and Carrie Wilkins serve as producers from Manitoba. Paramount Global Content Distribution handles international distribution for the series.
