Action In The Afternoon (CBS 1953-1954, Barry Cassell, Jack Valentine)

Western drama series Action in the Afternoon was a daily and live show set in the 1890’s in the Montana town of Huberle (pronounced Hubber-Lee), most of the Action centred around the do-gooding (and often singing) cowboy Jack Valentine and the sheriff Ace Bancroft, also playing an integral part was newspaper woman Kate.

An interesting fact is that the name of the town was coined by joining together the names of two of CBS’s key personnel Hubbell Robinson Jr and Harry Ommerle.
