Bless Me, Father (ITV Sitcom, Arthur Lowe, Daniel Abineri)

In low key period sitcom Bless Me, Father it’s the early 1950’s and Neil Boyd (Daniel Abineri) moves into a London suburb to become curate to Father Charles Duddleswell (Arthur Lowe), Parish Priest of St Jude.

The two men, living in the London suburb of Fairwater, are looked after by housekeeper Mrs Pring (Gabrielle Daye).

The series was based on a series of books by Peter da Rosa, originally published using the pseudonym ‘Neil Boyd’.

The books were called “Bless Me, Father”, “Father In A Fix”, “A Father Before Christmas” and “Father Under Fire”.
