Brock (Channel 10 2016, Matt Le Nevez, Natalie Bassingthwaighte)
Well made biopic about the life of Australian racing legend Peter Brock beginning with his association with Holden in 1969 where he finished third in his first Bathurst race through to his many successes and with heavy concentration on his personal life. Not least his three marriages and accusations of domestic violence.
Excellent direction from Geoff Bennett, top notch production design and a terrific central performance from Matt Le Nevez as Brock make a cut above slice of Aussie drama. Rick Maier head of drama at Ten said of the man himself “He made his name on the track, winning Bathurst 500/1000 nine times, but it was his life off the track that earned him the nickname ‘Not so Perfect Peter’. He was complex, troubled and full of self-doubt. An enigma. He was also a champion.”
