Bud (ITV Sitcom, Bud Flanagan, Chesney Allen)

Sitcom Bud saw legendary Crazy Gang entertainer (and singer of the Dad’s Army theme tune) Bud Flanagan trying his hand as several different jobs including a bookie (in real life Bud owned a number of betting shops), a night watchman and even a nurse.

Bud was given a prestigious TV Times cover (July 21, 1963) tying in with the premiere of the series. There was also a two page interview which mostly focused on Bud’s obsession with gambling and the fact that he consider this series his first real acting role.
