The Frighteners: Miss Mouse (ITV 25 Aug 1972, with John Normington)

The Frighteners Miss Mouse

In Miss Mouse Lucille and Arthur return from a night out and get into a major argument. In a fit of anger Arthur attacks Lucille and she ends up dead. The pair pay a lady they call Miss Mouse to keep an eye on their young son via a microphone system and unfortunately for Arthur Miss Mouse has overheard the murder and plans a nice spot of blackmail.

In a funny twist Miss Mouse and Arthur end up locked in the bedroom with the dead Lucille. The twist gets twistier when Miss Mouse’s ageing mother plans her own slice of blackmail on them both.

It’s actually a pretty intense and graphic scene when Arthur loses it and kills Lucille but the double twist is excellent.

The Frighteners Miss Mouse
Miss Mouse makes it plain what she could offer Arthur if he should choose to follow her course.
