Hulu Docuseries “Black Twitter: A People’s History” May 9 Premiere

Black Twitter: A People’s History,” a docuseries produced by A Penny for Your Thoughts, WIRED Studios, and Culture House Media, will be premiering all episodes on Thursday, May 9th, on Hulu.

The series boasts an impressive lineup of contributors including TJ Adeshola, W. Kamau Bell, Dr. André Brock, Rembert Browne, Dr. Meredith Clark, Kid Fury, Roxane Gay, Jemele Hill, Sam Jay, Brad Jenkins, Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins and many more.

Prentice Penny will be directing the series as part of his overall deal with Onyx Collective through his production company A Penny for Your Thoughts.

Based on Jason Parham’s WIRED cover story “A People’s History of Black Twitter,” this three-part docuseries aims to explore the rise and influence of Black Twitter in American political and cultural life.

Executive producers for the series include Prentice Penny himself along with Chris Pollack and Alex Soler from A Penny for Your Thoughts. Sarah Amos Helen Estabrook and Agnes Chu represent WIRED Studios while Raeshem Nijhon Carri Twigg Nicole Galovski Joie Jacoby and Shawna Carroll join from Culture House Media.
