Journy Celebrates Father’s Day Throughout June

Throughout the month of June, JOURNY have a variety of shows hosted by fathers, such as the British host, adventurer, and writer Ben Fogle.

Henry Golding (Welcome to the Railworld Japan), Gordon Ramsay (Great Escape), Bear Grylls (Bear’s Wild Adventure), and Philippe Cousteau (Xplore Awesome Planet) will all be featured as JOURNY father figures this coming June. On Thursday, June 1st, JOURNY will begin streaming Dad Adventures in honor of fathers and Father’s Day. In his series “Starting Up, Starting Over,” Ben Fogle profiles the courageous individuals who risk the security of a regular paycheck in order to pursue their passions and build a better life for themselves. In each new episode, we follow a new set of characters who have had it with the 9-to-5 lifestyle. Ben Fogle follows them to see if being their own boss lives up to the hype. These courageous people give up everything to follow their dreams and open restaurants, breweries, hotels, or farms in far-flung places. So that they can live the lives they envision for themselves, they are willing to risk everything on an exciting leap into the unknown.

Bear’s Wild Adventure: In this two-part series hosted by Bear Grylls, former rugby union player Jonny Wilkinson and former boxer Nicola Adams face the grueling and harsh terrain of Dartmoor National Park in the UK, as they test their survival instincts in a once in a lifetime experience.

Gordon Ramsay’s Great Escape: Your favorite hot headed chef Gordon Ramsay is on his way to India! He may love curry but knows little about true Indian cuisine, so he sets off to India for the first time to discover a whole new culinary world. He embarks on an amazing gastronomic quest and experiences the diversity of India’s culinary traditions, submerging himself in all aspects of the culture, no matter how challenging, unfamiliar or extreme.

Welcome to the Railworld Japan: Grab a ticket on this breathtaking train ride across a gorgeous and historic land. Host Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians) discovers the essence of Japan by taking a unique and fulfilling journey through the country’s most prominent mode of transport: the railway system. Embark on a comprehensive and fun tour around the land of the rising sun with destinations ranging from Tokyo, Hokkaido, Okinawa, Kyushu, and more.

Xploration Awesome Planet: Philippe Cousteau, Jr. is no stranger to exploration. Grandson of legendary underwater explorer Jacques Cousteau, Philippe examines the planet in this series. Among many adventures, Philippe travels to diamond and gold mines to see how gems and metals are formed, faces active volcanoes to observe what happens inside Earth’s burning core, visits a condor rehabilitation area, and checks out weather stations in mountainous areas to get an idea of how weather phenomena form in the atmosphere.
