“Monsters at Work” Season 2 Premiere, April 5, Disney Channel
Disney and Pixar’s beloved “Monsters, Inc.” universe is set to continue with the highly-anticipated second season of the Emmy®-winning animated comedy series, “Monsters at Work.” The latest installment will premiere on Friday, April 5 (8:00PM EDT), on Disney Channel and Disney XD, featuring a special two-episode debut. Following this, new episodes will air on Saturdays at 10:00AM EDT on both channels until the series’ streaming release on Disney+ starting Sunday, May 5.
The stellar cast of “Monsters at Work” includes industry icons Billy Crystal and John Goodman reprising their roles as Mike Wazowski and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan. Joining them are talented actors such as Ben Feldman as Tylor Tuskmon, Mindy Kaling as Val Little, Henry Winkler as Fritz, Lucas Neff as Duncan, and Alanna Ubach as Cutter.
Season two brings back familiar voices from the “Monsters, Inc.” franchise in guest star roles. Aubrey Plaza returns as Claire Wheeler, Nathan Fillion reprises his role as Johnny Worthington III, and Bobby Moynihan takes on Chet Alexander once again. Additionally, fans can look forward to appearances by Jennifer Coolidge, Rhys Darby, Janelle James, Jenifer Lewis, Ali Wong, Bowen Yang, Paula Pell, Danny Pudi, Cody Rigsby, Jimmy Tatro, Danny Trejo, Joe Lo Truglio, and Alan Tudyk.
In the upcoming season of “Monsters at Work,” viewers will follow Tylor’s journey as a Jokester while his friendship with Val faces unforeseen challenges. When rival energy company FearCo presents unexpected opportunities for advancement,Tylor’s colleagues at Monsters Inc begin to question his allegiance.As his partnership with Val teeters on the edge,Tylor must search within himself to find where he truly belongs.
To complement the series, fans can enjoy a multiple-single soundtrack featuring two original songs from Walt Disney Records.
“Monsters at Work” season two is produced by Disney Television Animation and falls under the umbrella of Disney Branded Television. The executive producer is Emmy Award winner Kevin Deters, while Melissa Kurtz serves as producer. Stevie Wermers takes on the role of supervising director, with Colleen Evanson as the story editor and Dominic Lewis as the series composer.
