CTV Life Channel’s EVOLVING VEGAN is returning for its second season, premiering on April 16 with new episodes airing every Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET on CTV Life, CTV.ca, and the CTV app, as well as streaming on Crave. The show has been recognized with a nomination for Best Host, Lifestyle at the 2024 Canadian Screen Awards for its first season. Mena Massoud, known for his role in Aladdin, continues to guide viewers through dynamic destinations that showcase various approaches to vegan cuisine.

In the upcoming six hour-long episodes, Massoud explores the thriving plant-based food scenes of Philadelphia, Montréal, Miami, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Tokyo. Each episode takes viewers on a culinary journey as Massoud samples local vegan dishes alongside guests and experts such as magician and actor Penn Jillette; comedian Maz Jobrani; educator and food historian Zella Palmer; and New York Times bestselling cookbook authors Carleigh Bodrug and Radhi Devlukia.

The premiere episode of Season 2 features Philadelphia, a city steeped in history and surprises when it comes to hearty vegan fare. Viewers can expect elevated live-fire cooking, fresh Capalachi Pasta, and an unexpected twist on the classic Philly “Cheesesteak”. Massoud also learns how to make delectable donuts with comedian Maz Jobrani and indulges in an incredibly satisfying “meatball” sub.
