The episode revolves around the Critch family’s annual Airing Out ritual, which marks the spring season by refreshing the contents of their home. However, the ceremony uncovers some dirty family secrets, creating a need for further airing of the family’s dirty laundry.
“Airing Out” was penned by Anita Kapila and directed by John Vatcher. The series, based on Mark Critch’s popular memoir, offers a humorous glimpse into the life of a young boy, marking a coming-of-age tale with a unique twist. Critch, who plays his father, Mike, is joined by a talented cast, including Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as the young Mark and Claire Rankin as Mark’s mother, Mary. Malcolm McDowell also makes an appearance as Patrick “Pop” Critch.
