The Marlow Murder Club Premieres 6 March on UKTV Drama
In a brand new two-part UKTV Original drama titled “The Marlow Murder Club,” viewers are introduced to retired archaeologist Judith Potts, played by Samantha Bond (known for her role in Downton Abbey), vicar’s wife Becks, portrayed by Cara Horgan, and local dog-walker Suzie, played by Jo Martin. This unlikely trio forms a friendship as amateur sleuths, banding together to solve a series of murders that plague their town.
On Wednesday, the first episode unfolds with Judith Potts experiencing an abrupt disruption to her peaceful evening in Marlow when she becomes witness to the murder of her neighbour. However, the local police, headed by newly promoted DS Tanika Malik portrayed by Natalie Dew (from Sandylands), remain skeptical of Judith’s account and are reluctant to believe her. Undeterred, Judith takes it upon herself to initiate her own investigation into the matter.
Continuing on Thursday with the second episode, Judith is joined by Becks and Suzie as they are officially enlisted to assist the police investigation. Working together, they uncover a significant connection between the various murders. The clock ticks ominously as they strive to apprehend the killer before another tragedy occurs.
“The Marlow Murder Club” presents viewers with an intriguing narrative filled with suspense and mystery. Written by Robert Thorogood, renowned for creating the widely acclaimed crime drama “Death in Paradise,” this UKTV Original promises an engrossing storyline and compelling performances from its talented cast.
