The Last Song (BBC Sitcom, Geoffrey Palmer, Nina Thomas)
In BBC sitcom The Last Song Leo Bannister (Geoffrey Palmer), who is 50 and separated from his wife falls for 24 year old Liz (Nina Thomas). In season two Leo was once more sort of getting on with his wife Alice (Caroline Blakiston).
The Last Song was one of Carla Lane’s lesser known sitcoms, Geoffrey Palmer had previously appeared in Lane’s very popular Butterflies. Season two actually pretty much changed the dynamic of the show. Liz had disappeared off the scene and the focus was on Leo rebuilding things not only with wife Alice but also his two grown up children Jane (Hetty Baynes) and Alison (Gay Wilde).
