Now Is Too Late (ITV 1976, Felicity Kendal, Anton Rodgers)

Now Is Too Late

One off drama Now Is Too Late focused on the seemingly has it all Nicola who despite having a husband who loves her, a nice house and is comfortably doesn’t have the one thing she truly wants – a child.

Anna Palk, who had been starring in The Main Chance, appears in a supporting role here and her real life son Jonathan, then two years old, also appearsm, but not as her own son. Anna took the unusual step of agreeing to not spend any time with Jonathan while filming took place (Jonathan even stayed with his nanny in a different hotel), Director John Frankau, who had worked with Anna many times on The Main Chance and was Jonathan’s godfather said it was worth it so that the boy didn’t “extend loving arms to Anna.”
