Jeremy Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph airs a new episode tonight Thursday April 6 2023 on ABC.

Actor Jeremy Renner gives his first interview since his near-fatal mishap on New Year’s Day to Diane Sawyer of ABC News. In an effort to save the life of his nephew, Renner was gravely injured, breaking more than 30 bones and puncturing a lung when his seven-ton snowplough ran over him. He discusses the traumatic events leading up to and immediately following his accident, as well as his time spent in the hospital, and provides an inside glimpse at his ongoing recovery process. In addition to the first responders who saved Renner’s life, the special also includes interviews with his family members, including the nephew he was attempting to protect.
