All Creatures Great and Small: Carpe Diem (PBS Sunday January 14, 2024)
In a brand new season four episode of “All Creatures Great and Small” titled “Carpe Diem,” we are in for a mix of challenges and heartfelt moments. Siegfried comes up with the idea of bringing in an experienced bookkeeper, Miss Harbottle (played by Neve McIntosh), to bring some order to the chaos at the veterinary practice. While she proves to be efficient, cracks start to appear, especially when a sick ferret adds to the already challenging situation.
Meanwhile, Farmer Dakin (a surprise guest appearance by the legendary James Bolam) finds himself deeply attached to his injured and elderly cow named Blossom. However, Siegfried advises him that it may be time to let go. This advice puts Siegfried’s recent rash decisions into perspective as James encourages him to face the reality of the situation he has created.
As tension rises and difficult choices must be made, James and Helen also reach an important decision that they have been contemplating for some time.
Tune in to PBS on Sunday, January 14, 2024, at 9:00 PM for this episode of “All Creatures Great and Small.”
