ITV Studio’s The Voice Hits 150 Versions Around The World
The multi-award-winning ITV Studios format The Voice has reached a milestone with over 150 international adaptations of the talent show and its spin-offs.
Since its 2010 premiere in The Netherlands, nineteen countries have aired ten seasons or more, with NBC in the US leading with 24. In 2023, The Voice franchise will air 51 versions worldwide, including seven debuts in new markets.
The Voice premiered on TV Tokyo and MBC Persia earlier this year. Italy, Sri Lanka, and Uruguay launched their first Voice Kids seasons. The Voice Rap premiered on ProSieben in Germany last month, and The Voice Generations premiered on GMA Network in the Philippines with a finale on October 12.
The Voice is the most successful non-scripted global format brand with 74 local versions. The Voice Kids, Teens, Senior, All Stars, Generations, and Rap are six active spin-offs of the original format. Over 30 international awards and many chart-topping artists have come from The Voice franchise.
Over 120 million Facebook fans, 100 billion Youtube views, and 144 million subscribers continue this success online.
The Voice is also expanding its web3 presence with the Virtual Brand Group to engage fans deeper and help local broadcasters and advertisers connect with their audiences. A pop-up experience at the Metaverse Music Festival last year and “The Voice Studios” on Decentraland, a permanent hub launched with NBC to promote season 22, were successful web3 activations. “The Voice Studios” is a virtual reality experience that lets fans find their voice like the contestants on the global hit show. Fans also won virtual fashion replicas of famous merchandise from celebrity coaches Kelly Clarkson and Chance the Rapper for the first time.
