NBCUniversal: New Shows, Returning Favourites, and Exclusive Sports
NBCUniversal has unveiled an extensive and diverse programming slate for the upcoming 2024-25 season. The company’s portfolio of cable networks—Bravo, E!, USA Network, SYFY, and Oxygen True Crime—will offer a compelling mix of original content, exclusive sports programming, and the return of beloved fan-favorite shows.
Bravo, a top-five cable entertainment brand, introduces “Making It in Manhattan” (W/T), an unscripted series that follows a group of ambitious young adults navigating life and aspirations in New York City. The network also celebrates the success of recent hits like “The Valley,” the most-watched freshman series in nearly a decade, and “Summer House,” currently in its most-watched season. Bravo’s slate of returning favorites includes “Married to Medicine,” “Top Chef,” and multiple cities from “The Real Housewives” franchise.
USA Network, building on its streak as a top-five cable network, will become the exclusive linear home of WWE’s flagship programs, “WWE Monday Night RAW” and “WWE SmackDown,” starting September 13, 2024. The network also introduces “The Anonymous,” a highly anticipated competition series from the producers of “The Traitors.” This unique social strategy game blurs the lines between real and anonymous digital interactions.
E!, a pop culture powerhouse, adds an intimate three-part docuseries, “Untitled Cori Broadus and Snoop Dogg Project” (W/T), to its lineup. The series offers a personal look at the lives of Cori Broadus, daughter of cultural icon Snoop Dogg, and her fiancé, Wayne Deuce, as they navigate their relationship and upcoming nuptials. E!’s returning favorites include “House of Villains,” “E! News,” and its signature red carpet franchise, “Live from E!,” hosted by Laverne Cox.
SYFY, ranking among the top 10 cable networks, introduces “Revival,” a scripted original series based on the “Revival” comic book. The show centers on a small town in Wisconsin where the recently deceased return to life, appearing and behaving as they once did. This unique take on the undead genre promises to captivate audiences. SYFY also brings back fan favorites “Reginald the Vampire” and “The Ark” for their second seasons.
Oxygen True Crime, coming off its most successful year, expands its true-crime roster with seven new series and specials. This includes “The Girl on the Milk Carton” (W/T), which explores the disturbing disappearance of 12-year-old Jonelle Matthews in 1984, and “Dateline: The Smoking Gun” (W/T), where detectives uncover crucial clues to solve cold cases. Other additions include “Philly Homicide” (W/T), “A Plan to Kill” (W/T), and “The Alissa Turney Project” (W/T), showcasing the impact of social media in solving cold cases.
