Race Across the World 4, 17 April 2024, BBC One, “Episode 2”
In this second episode of Race Across the World 4, the five intrepid duos continue their breath-taking 15,000-kilometre race across Eastern Asia. Leaving Nara City, the teams must cross their first border into South Korea, reaching the seaside town of Sokcho. This leg of the race presents a unique set of challenges, with the participants having to balance their speed and spending wisely while seizing opportunities to earn extra cash.
The episode, airing on Wednesday 17 April on BBC One promises a mix of stunning landscapes and cultural experiences as the teams navigate their way through Japan and South Korea. From the volcanic ring of fire to the idyllic Indonesian island paradise of Lombok, the racers will be tested physically and emotionally.
The five duos include mother-and-daughter pairs Brydie and Sharon, as well as Eugenie and Isabel; best friends Alfie and Owen; married couple Stephen and Viv; and brother and sister Betty and James. Each team brings their unique dynamics and strategies to the race, with a cash prize of £20,000 awaiting the winners.
Race Across the World offers a thrilling and unscripted journey, capturing the highs and lows of the competitors as they push themselves to their limits. With no flights or smartphones allowed, the racers must rely on their wits, resilience, and adaptability to navigate their way to the finish line.
