Roku’s Original Series “Team Rubicon” Roku Premieres May 25.
Producers of “This Old House,” the most trusted brand in home improvement, have announced a new original series for Roku, Inc. called “Team Rubicon,” based on the same-named veteran-led humanitarian organization that aids communities around the world before, during, and after disasters and crises. This new series, hosted by Kevin O’Connor of “This Old House,” will premiere on The Roku Channel this Thursday, May 25 and will be available for free streaming.
What is Team Rubicon about
When calamity occurs, Team Rubicon is there to help. In this inspiring series, we’ll follow Team Rubicon volunteers — including former service members, current first responders, and fearless civilians — as they respond to calls for help in their communities. Team Rubicon is committed to providing long-term support to communities in the wake of natural disasters like hurricanes, wildfires, and floods.
Kevin O’Connor isn’t just the host; he’s also a volunteer for Team Rubicon, where he deploys alongside the organization’s CEO, Art delaCruz, and the volunteers affectionately known as “Greyshirts,” where they experience firsthand the resilience of the human spirit and the comfort of community in the face of unfathomable adversity. The “Greyshirts” and other survivors will be followed in this 13-episode, half-hour series. Team Rubicon provides veterans with second chances to contribute and recover. Although many of the volunteers have military experience, many more come from a wide variety of backgrounds. The power of perseverance is brilliantly displayed in this motivating series.

Quote from Team Rubicon CEO Art delaCruz
“The series gives not only a look at the life of a ‘Greyshirt’ in the field by sharing their incredible stories and the impact they have in the communities they serve,” said Art delaCruz, CEO of Team Rubicon. “It also shares how their services promote resilience and recovery as the frequency and intensity of disasters increase. We thank Roku for joining our ranks and so genuinely sharing these stories and encourage everyone to join us and help before, during, and after disasters.”
All 13 episodes of “Team Rubicon” will be available to stream for free on The Roku Channel starting May 25.
