UK Thriller Traces Season 2 FTA Premiere 14 April on ABC TV
6 part UK crime drama Traces, based on a concept by Val McDemid, returns for its second season this April on ABC TV.
As the series returns Emma Hedges (Molly Windsor), a former lab aide who is now studying to become a forensic chemist, is on the verge of seeing the conclusion to her mother’s murder case. In the High Court case, Daniel (Martin Compston) will testify against his father. How well do you think Emma and Daniel will handle stress? Will fairness prevail?
While Emma is away at university, her colleagues and teachers at the Scottish Institute of Forensic Science and Anatomy are trying to unravel a deadly bombing plot. There has been a spate of explosions involving homemade explosives in and around Dundee, and the bombs themselves may hold the key to solving the mystery.
Everyone in town is on edge. Dismembered bodies have been found in a lake. The forensic work is precise, and public anticipation is high, because only bomb fragments survive each explosion.
Both Professor Sarah Gordon (Laura Fraser) and Professor Kathy Torrance (Jennifer Spence) will need all their grit and confidence to uncover the truth. The lines between work and home life blur. A failed explosive explosion must provide some sort of forensic benefit. Will they find the attacker before their cover is blown?
Airdate: Friday 14 April 2023 at 8.30pm on ABC TV.
