Celebrity Bridge of Lies Returns to BBC One on 6 April
Celebrity Bridge of Lies, an exciting BBC One game show hosted by Ross Kemp, is back with a bang for a second series, stepping up the glamour and competition on Saturday nights. The show’s premise remains true to its title—a formidable bridge stands between the contestants and their goals, but only those who can discern truth from lies will conquer it.
The upcoming season features an impressive lineup of famous contestants, including athletes, musicians, actors, and comedians, all vying for the chance to win cash prizes for their chosen charities. Among the first episode’s competitors are Dion Dublin, Sam Quek, Melvin Odoom, and Joanna Page, an eclectic group representing the diverse talents of the celebrity world.
Subsequent episodes introduce teams of pop stars, including Sinitta, Ian ‘H’ Watkins, Ritchie Neville, and Una Healy, taking on the challenge together. The BBC’s own Morning Live hosts, Gethin Jones, Dr. Ranj Singh, Anna Haugh, and Briony May Williams, form another team, bringing their unique dynamics to the bridge. And in a soap star special, Chris Bisson, Lucy-Jo Hudson, Simon Gregson, and Danielle Harold bring their dramatic talents to the forefront.
An intriguing addition to the series is the ‘Hotline‘ feature, allowing contestants in the heat of the moment to seek brief guidance from their teammates. Filmed at the BBC’s Pacific Quay studios in Glasgow, this innovative show continues to challenge celebrities, pushing them to work together and uncover the truth.
With celebrity reputations at stake and charity funds on the line, the stakes are higher than ever. Celebrity Bridge of Lies promises to deliver an action-packed, fun-filled experience, while also offering a thought-provoking and interactive adventure.
The series is produced by STV Studios, with the Creative Director of Entertainment, Gary Chippington, overseeing the project. The BBC has shown continued faith in the format, with Head of Entertainment Commissioning Kalpna Patel-Knight greenlighting the new season.
Tune in to BBC One on April 6th at 5:40 pm for the series premiere, with weekday companion episodes at 4:30 pm, and watch celebrities tackle the truth-seeking challenge.
