The British countryside documentary series Countryfile returns with a new episode, Camel Trail, airing on BBC One on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. Presenters Adam Henson and Charlotte Smith explore the Camel Trail, a popular recreational route in north Cornwall, following an old railway line for 18 miles, from Padstow to Bodmin via Wadebridge.

The trail, which follows an old railway line, covers 18 miles and connects the fishing town of Padstow with the wild moorland of Bodmin, passing through Wadebridge. Adam travels along the trail, visiting a farm that has rejuvenated a lost salt marsh habitat, attracting wildlife back to the area. He also encounters one of the country’s oldest deer herds on the outskirts of Padstow.

Meanwhile, Charlotte heads south towards Bodmin, where she discovers a family-owned vineyard inspired by the surrounding landscape. She also visits the National Lobster Hatchery in Padstow, which is working to replenish lobster populations in the waters off north Cornwall. Additionally, Charlotte investigates the latest strategies to address tuberculosis (TB) in cattle across England and Wales.
