Off Script with The Hollywood Reporter” Returns for Season 2 with Host Yvonne Orji and Emmy-Nominated Talent
The Hollywood Reporter (THR) has announced the return of its Emmy-nominated series “Off Script with The Hollywood Reporter,” with a second season premiering on IFC and streaming on AMC+ starting May 24, 2024. The new season will feature five episodes, each themed around different categories of Emmy contenders, including Comedy Actress, Drama Actor, Comedy Actor, Drama Actress, and Stand-Up.
Hosted by Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Yvonne Orji, the series showcases roundtable conversations with some of the industry’s top talent. The first episode, “Comedy Actress,” features Quinta Brunson (“Abbott Elementary”), Maya Rudolph (“Loot”), Kristen Wiig (“Palm Royale”), Ego Nwodim (“Saturday Night Live”), Michelle Buteau (“Survival of the Thickest”), and Renee Elise Goldsberry (“Girls5Eva”).
The following episodes will air on Fridays, with the “Drama Actor” episode on June 7, featuring Jon Hamm (“Fargo” and “The Morning Show”), Nicholas Galitzine (“Mary & George” and “Red, White & Royal Blue”), Clive Owen (“Monsieur Spade” and “A Murder at the End of the World”), David Oyelowo (“Lawmen: Bass Reeves”), Matt Bomer (“Fellow Travelers”), and Callum Turner (“Masters of the Air”).
The “Comedy Actor” episode, airing on June 14, will include Theo James (“The Gentleman”), Ricky Martin (“Palm Royale”), Bowen Yang (“Saturday Night Live”), Kelsey Grammer (“Frasier”), Anthony Mackie (“Twisted Metal”), and John Goodman (“The Righteous Gemstones” and “The Conners”).
The series is filmed on location in The Georgian Room at The Georgian Hotel, a renowned Hollywood hangout in Santa Monica. Each episode delves into urgent industry issues, creative methodologies, and behind-the-scenes narratives, offering viewers a fresh perspective on the collective brilliance of the entertainment industry’s top talent.
“Off Script with The Hollywood Reporter” is executive produced by Elisabeth D. Rabishaw, EVP and publisher of THR, Jason Rovou, VP of video production and development at THR, and THR co-editor-in-chiefs Maer Roshan and Nekesa Mumbi Moody.
The series builds on the success of its first season, which aired on SundanceTV and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Arts and Popular Culture Program.
