Roman Kemp Joins The One Show as Co-Host with Alex Jones & Jermaine Jenas
Along with Jermaine Jenas, Alex Jones now has a new co-host on The One Show in the form of Roman Kemp.
Roman is a familiar face to viewers since he became a guest host for the show last year and quickly became a fan favourite.
Roman says
Roman Kemp says: “I’m very excited to become a permanent presenter on The One Show, I have had so much fun filming with the team already over the past year on the sofa. It’s a dream-come true to be on prime-time BBC One, bringing the best topical news and entertainment to the nation.”
While Ronan Keating remains an integral part of The One Show family and continues to host shows, Lauren Laverne has also been given a regular spot on the sofa.
Ronan Keating remarks
Ronan Keating says: “I have loved being part of The One Show presenting team and I’ve had the best few years working alongside Alex, Jermaine and the whole team. I’ll be doing less shows this year due to my performing and recording schedule but I’m still very much part of the family and wish Roman the best of luck”.
Watchdog will continue with Matt Allwright and Nikki Fox as hosts, with occasional episodes co-hosted by other members of the show’s extended family of presenters.
The One Show airs on BBC One at 7 p.m. every weeknight, and attracts an average of 3 million viewers thanks to its engaging blend of regional news reports from all over the United Kingdom, celebrity studio guests, and fan favourites. It is a BBC Studios production.
