UKTV Scores A Trio of New Shows From Paramount for Alibi and UKTV Play.
So Help Me Todd and Evil Season 3 will air on UKTV’s crime channel Alibi, and all five seasons of A Million Little Things will be available on the network’s streaming service, UKTV Play.
UKTV’s senior global acquisitions manager Harriet Armston-Clarke and BBC Studios and UKTV’s global head of acquisitions Melanie Rumani secured the deal, which follows last year’s acquisition of CSI: Vegas for Alibi.
When will the new series premiere
In the summer, Alibi will debut the UK premiere of So Help Me Todd, and in July, Alibi will TX the third season of Evil.
In the United Kingdom, A Million Little Things will debut in the autumn on the free streaming service UKTV Play.
Evil Season 3
Created by Robert and Michelle King (The Good Wife, The Good Fight), the origins of evil lie somewhere between the realms of science and religion, making them the subject of a fascinating psychological mystery. A female clinical psychologist with a healthy dose of scepticism (Katja Herbers) teams up with a priest-in-training (Mike Colter) and a contractor (Aasif Mandvi) to investigate cases of apparent miracles, demonic possession, and other unexplained phenomena to determine whether or not these events can be explained scientifically or are the result of supernatural forces.
So Help Me Todd
So Help Me Todd is a legal drama created by Scott Prendergast, who serves as executive producer and co-showrunner alongside Elizabeth Klaviter. The series stars Academy Award winner Marcia Gay Harden (Mystic River, The Morning Show) as razor-sharp, meticulous attorney Margaret Wright and Skylar Astin (Pitch Perfect, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist) as her son Todd, a talented but aimless former private investigator who reluctantly takes a job at her law firm. Their methods are completely at odds but somehow it seems to work, and this could be a big first step toward mending their fragile, dysfunctional relationship.
A Million Little Things
A Million Little Things was created by DJ Nash, whose previous credits include Til Death, Traffic Light, Growing Up Fisher and Bent and is executive produced by Nash, Aaron Kaplan, Terrence Coli, Brian Morewitz, Dana Honor, James Griffiths and David Marshall Grant. Starring David Giuntoli, Romany Malco, Allison Miller, Christina Moses, Grace Park, James Roday Rodriguez, Stephanie Szostak, Tristan Byon, Chance Hurstfield and Lizzy Greene, the series follows a group of friends who become motivated to live fuller lives after the unexpected death of a close friend.
Evil and So Help Me Todd join a selection of top-quality new and exclusive programmes on Alibi, including acquisitions Miss Scarlet and the Duke, CSI: Vegas, Smother, Pretty Hard Cases, Hudson & Rex, and the long-running Murdoch Mysteries, alongside UKTV Original commissions such as The Diplomat, Annika, Traces and We Hunt Together. On UKTV Play, A Million Little Things joins all of the programmes from UKTV’s free-to-air channel brands; Dave, Drama, Yesterday and W, including Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over, Bangers and Cash, MasterChef Australia and Big Zuu’s Big Eats.
