Trevor Eve Joins Cast of Alibi’s “I, Jack Wright”

Production has commenced on the highly-anticipated series “I, Jack Wright,” a gripping crime drama set to air on Alibi, UKTV’s specialist crime channel. The cast has been finalised for this six-part series, with Trevor Eve taking on the role of Jack Wright. He will be joined by Daniel Rigby as John Wright and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis as Emily Wright.

Additional actors set to star in the show include Rakhee Thakrar as Laura Johnstone, Harry Lloyd as DCI Hector Morgan, Zoë Tapper as Georgia Wright, Liz Kingsman as DC Katie Jones, James Fleet as Bobby, Sabrina Bartlett as Bella, and Percelle Ascott as Reuben.

The story revolves around Jack Wright, a successful businessman whose apparent suicide leaves his family shocked and unraveling. As details of his will emerge, it becomes clear that his fortune has been largely withheld from his wife Sally and sons Gray and John. It is soon revealed that Jack was actually murdered. Detectives DCI Morgan and DC Jones dig deeper into the case and turn their attention toward the troubled Wright family. A fierce feud erupts within the family, uncovering dark secrets and long-held resentments with explosive consequences.

“I, Jack Wright” promises to be a compelling blend of suspenseful mystery and dark comedy within a dysfunctional family dynamic. The narrative takes unexpected twists and turns while exploring themes of betrayal and hidden motivations.

A pre-investment deal for “I, Jack Wright” was brokered by Tarmo Kivikallio from YLE. Emma Ayech serves as channel director for Alibi while Polly Williams, Arielle Gottlieb, Chris Lang,and Tom Vaughan serve as executive producers alongside Helen Perry for UKTV. Tom Vaughan directs the series while Nickie Sault produces it.

“I, Jack Wright” joins Alibi’s lineup of compelling original dramas, with a planned release in 2025. Audiences can also look forward to “The Red King,” produced by Quay Street Productions, which is scheduled to air in April 2024.
