Apple TV+ Unveils Trailer for “Trying” Season 4

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for the fourth season of its beloved comedy series “Trying,” starring BAFTA Award-nominee Esther Smith and SAG Award-nominee Rafe Spall. The season will premiere on Wednesday, May 22, with the first two episodes available, followed by weekly releases through July 3.

The new season fast-forwards six years, introducing viewers to an experienced adopter Nikki (Smith) and her husband Jason (Spall), who are navigating the challenges of parenthood. Their teenage daughter, Princess (Scarlett Rayner), yearns to connect with her birth mother, setting the stage for a test of Nikki and Jason’s parenting skills.

The series, created, written, and executive produced by Andy Wolton, explores the complexities of family and the support network that surrounds them. The ensemble cast includes Sian Brooke, BAFTA Award winner Darren Boyd, and newcomers Scarlett Rayner and Cooper Turner.

“Trying” has received critical acclaim for its heartwarming portrayal of the adoption process and the ups and downs of family life. The show’s first season premiered in May 2020, with all eight episodes released simultaneously. Subsequent seasons shifted to a weekly format, building anticipation and engagement among viewers.

The trailer for season four features the song Forever by London-based pop star BEKA, who will helm the season’s soundtrack with original songs in each episode. Previous seasons featured music by Maisie Peters and Bear’s Den.
