BBC Daytime Multi Year Renewal For Factual Shows
BBC Daytime has announced that some of its popular shows will be returning to BBC One and iPlayer in a multi year renewal.
Scam Interceptors, a show that focuses on monitoring and stopping scammers, will be back for the second part of its second series in October. The show has also been commissioned for a third series in 2024. Hosted by Rav Wilding and Nick Stapleton, the team at Scam Interceptors HQ in Glasgow, along with ethical hacker Jim Browning, use remote-access technology to hack into scammers’ systems and prevent victims from losing money. This series will also introduce “Ground Interceptors,” mobile teams that will be dispatched to help victims in person when other methods fail.
Scam Interceptors has been commissioned for BBC One Daytime by Rachel Platt, the Executive Producer is Rowland Stone, and Series Producer is Sherry Knight for BBC Studios Documentary Unit.
Make It At Market, a show that follows budding entrepreneurs in the crafting industry, will also be returning for its second series in November. Hosted by Dom Chinea and his team of business and craft experts, the show aims to help amateurs turn their crafting hobbies into profitable businesses. The contestants will face challenges to test their skills before venturing into the real world to make money from their crafts.

Big Little Crimes, produced by Brown Bob Cymru and based in Cardiff, has been commissioned for its second and third series in 2024 and 2025. The show features police officers from different forces across the country sharing stories of cases where they caught big criminals starting from small misdemeanors. Viewers can expect to see dash-cam footage, dramatic reconstructions, and interviews with serving and retired officers recounting unforgettable crimes.
Big Little Crimes, Moment of Proof and Fraud Squad are commissioned for BBC One Daytime by Helen Munson, and produced by Brown Bob Cymru in Cardiff. Series Editor is Jenny Dafydd, and Executive Producers are Rob Dersley and Jacqueline Hewer.
Dr Xand’s Con or Cure will be returning in 2024, with Dr Xand van Tulleken and Ashley John Baptiste investigating medical crimes and testing the latest health fads. The duo will use viewer suggestions to investigate stories that are important to the audience, exposing scams and uncovering what really works.

Moment of Proof and Fraud Squad, both produced by Brown Bob Cymru, have also been recommissioned for 2024. Moment of Proof showcases real-life stories of people who have faced challenges and come out on top, while Fraud Squad focuses on the work of investigators tackling fraud cases.
