Planet Earth III Premieres on BBC America This November 4
The third instalment of BBC America’s Planet Earth natural history series will premiere on November 4 at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time. Emmy® winner Mike Gunton served as executive producer, and Emmy® nominee Matt Brandon oversaw series production for the groundbreaking eight-part series, which premieres on AMC+ on the same day. The network has also unveiled the show’s official trailer.

After seven years and the success of Planet Earth II, the third installment of the series promises to take viewers on a mesmerizing journey across continents, showcasing the wonders of our planet. The show will delve into previously unseen animal behavior and tell the stories of different animal characters to shed light on the new difficulties animals face in today’s crowded world. The critical importance of environmental protection and restoration will also be emphasized. In the series finale, viewers will get to know some of the brave people who put their lives on the line to safeguard the planet’s wildlife and delicate ecosystems.
Several talented composers, such as Hans Zimmer, Jacob Shea, Sara Barone, and Dan Smith of Bastille, contributed to the series’ music. Together, they have crafted breathtaking aural environments for Planet Earth III, with Dan Smith’s vocals featured prominently in both the opening title song and throughout each episode. In addition, their cover of Bastille’s “Pompeii,” a massive hit in 2016, will be reworked and renamed “Pompeii MMXXIII,” and will be featured in the series’ closing credits.
