Prime Video Presents: Hot Potato – The Story of The Wiggles – Available Globally on October 24

On Tuesday, October 24, in over 240 countries and territories, Prime Video will release Hot Potato: The Story of The Wiggles.

The Wiggles are celebrated in this Australian Original documentary for their more than three decades of global success and cultural impact.

The unlikely tale of how four friends from Australia changed the face of the music industry with a single album of children’s songs in the early ’90s.

In their skivvies of blue, red, yellow, and purple, early childhood educators Anthony Field, Murray Cook, Greg Page, and Jeff Fatt become an improbable musical phenomenon. After being turned down by countless record labels, The Wiggles decided to take their career into their own hands and eventually became the most successful kids’ act in history.

The Wiggles’ backstory is filled with tragedy and comedy, innovation and the insight of young minds. Intimate interviews and rare behind-the-scenes glimpses will hopefully reveal the musicians and artists who wear these sweaters as human beings, people who are motivated by genuine passion, resilience, reinvention, and joy.

An Australian Original documentary, Hot Potato: The Story of The Wiggles is written and directed by Emmy-nominated director Sally Aitken, and produced by Dark Doris, Frog Productions, and SAM Content for Amazon Studios, with major production investment from Screen Australia in association with Screen NSW.
