The highly anticipated fifth season of “Ugliest House in America” is set to premiere on HGTV on Monday, April 22, at 9:00 and 9:30 PM ET/PT. Fans can also stream the show on Max® simultaneously.
The show, led by Retta, a well-known comedic actress from popular series like Parks and Recreation and Good Girls, embarks on a comedic tour across the nation to assess 15 dreadful houses nominated by their owners. Retta will provide her hilarious commentary on the shockingly bad designs, cringe-worthy layouts, and outdated styles of these homes. Among these horrendous houses, one will be crowned the “ugliest house in America,” earning its owners a remarkable $150,000 renovation supervised by HGTV star designer Alison Victoria in the thrilling one-hour finale.
In each episode, viewers can expect Retta to explore three homes, showcasing a range of appalling design choices, from ancient pink carpets and extravagant bathroom tiles to homes with malfunctioning kitchens and unique features like alligator tanks. Throughout the season, Retta will travel across the country, witnessing the most extreme examples of bad design and assisting a fortunate homeowner in turning their unattractive property into a beautiful masterpiece.
“Ugliest House in America” is a creation of Big Fish Entertainment, promising viewers an entertaining and engaging journey through the world of extreme home design disasters.
