In Birthday at Follyfoot Dora is trying to keep her upcoming birthday a secret but Ron and Steve both have other ideas. Ron wants to go for a full on surprises at the Colonel’s whilst Steve wants to keep it simple at the Farm.

Of course the boys are soon at loggerheads over whose idea is the best. The boys decide to settle the matter with a jousting competition at the local fair.

A rather lovely episode actually, there are funny moments with the boys jousting, wistful melancholy with Dora telling Slugger she never wants things to change and a joyful ending with the real surprise birthday party for Dora put on by Slugger.
