In the latest episode of ‘Come Dine With Me: The Professionals‘, airing on Channel 4 on May 27, we’re treated to another round of culinary competition as professional restaurateurs showcase their skills and vie for the £1000 prize. This time, we head to Oxfordshire, where the competition heats up with three unique dining experiences.
First up, we meet Baz, aka the hat man, and his head chef Anthony from The White Hart. They present an alfresco asado BBQ feast, complete with sharing plates and a variety of flavour combinations. The guests, including a fellow South African, praise the use of a proper wood fire for cooking the mains. However, one foodie finds the venison a bit chewy, creating a slight hiccup in their otherwise bubbly and entertaining dinner.
Next, Sally and Patrick from The Hand and Shears serve traditional pub grub with a twist. Their spin on moules mariniere is a standout dish, even converting two guests who usually shy away from this dish. Despite a minor forgetful moment with the sweetbreads on the main course, they bounce back with a delightful dessert.
As the competition reaches its climax, we join Kerry and Nathan from Whistlers restaurant, who are feeling confident about their menu. They kick things off with a hand-dived Orkney scallop starter, followed by a venison main course and a chocolate dessert. But will their dishes impress the guests as much as their own restaurant’s confidence?
