Comedian Tom Segura Locks Down New Netflix Comedy Series
Netflix has announced a new dark comedy series from comedian Tom Segura, marking his latest collaboration with the streaming service. The untitled six-episode series will see Segura star, produce, and narrate, bringing his twisted comedic sensibility to life.
Segura, known for his popular podcasts and bestselling book, has previously released five chart-topping comedy specials on Netflix, including “Ball Hog,” “Disgraceful,” “Mostly Stories,” “Completely Normal,” and “Sledgehammer.” The new series will feature a collection of vignettes in each episode, showcasing Segura’s unique brand of humour.
The series is directed by Rami Hachache, who also directed Segura’s Netflix specials “Ball Hog” and “Mostly Stories.” Jeremy Konner, known for “Drunk History” and “Another Period,” will serve as head writer, with Segura and Ryan Hall producing through YMH Studios.
Currently on his “Come Together” world tour, Segura has also been in talks to star as Bob Zmuda and Tony Clifton, the longtime collaborator and comedic persona of avant-garde comic Andy Kaufman, in the indie film “Dirty Rotten Bastard.”
With a diverse range of projects, including his podcasts “Your Mom’s House” and “2 Bears 1 Cave”, Segura continues to entertain audiences worldwide, and this new series promises to deliver another dose of his distinctive humour.
