Daytime Emmy Awards Special
The upcoming Daytime Emmy Awards, airing on CBS on Friday December 15, hosted by Nischelle Turner and Kevin Frazier, is set to feature a notable reunion as actor Shemar Moore will be presenting Susan Lucci with the Lifetime Achievement Honor. Lucci, known for her role as Erica Kane in “All My Children,” will be honored by Moore, who famously presented her with her first Daytime Emmy Award in 1999 after 19 nominations. This moment has been recognized as one of the greatest in awards show history.
Grammy Award-winning artist Jennifer Nettles will also be performing “Life is Sweet” for the In Memoriam segment, paying tribute to those in the daytime industry who have passed away this past year. The song is also nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award.
The show will feature presenters such as Lauralee Bell, Peter Bergman, Don Diamont, Mary Beth Evans, and others, paying tribute to the 50 years of daytime television. Additionally, Maury Povich and Connie Chung will make special appearances to honor Gold & Silver Circle honorees and the In Memoriam tribute.
