Sitcom Romany Jones detailed the misadventures of two layabout families living on a caravan site. Initially the focus was on Bert Jones (James Beck) and his wife Betty (Jo Rowbottom) and Wally Briggs (Arthur Mullard) and his wife Lilly (Queenie Watts) but Beck (Private Walker in Dads Army) died after season two and new neighbours were brought in. Posh Jeremy Crichton-Jones (Jonathan Cecil) and his wife Susan (Gay Soper) were the new residents.
