On Thursday April 18, ABC’s The View welcomes Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm talking Climate Week and actor Chris O’Dowd talking season 2 of The Big Door Prize.
Jennifer Granholm, the 16th Secretary of Energy, joins the show as part of Climate Week to discuss her role in advancing clean energy technologies and creating union jobs in the energy sector. Granholm, a Canadian-born American politician, has an extensive career in public service.
She served as the Attorney General of Michigan from 1999 to 2003 and made history as the state’s first female governor from 2003 to 2011. Granholm has also authored books, including ‘A Governor’s Story: The Fight for Jobs and America’s Future’ and has taught at the University of California, Berkeley.
Chris O’Dowd discusses his leading role in the second season of the Apple TV+ series “The Big Door Prize.” O’Dowd portrays Dusty, a high school teacher, and family man whose life is turned upside down by a mysterious machine in his small town.
The series is based on the novel by M.O. Walsh and blends science fiction with philosophical explorations of life’s potential. O’Dowd is known for his roles in “The IT Crowd” and “Bridesmaids,” showcasing his ability to ground shows with surreal elements in reality.
