ITV’s hit reality game show “The Fortune Hotel” is set to return for a second series, according to reports. The show, presented by Stephen Mangan, has seen a successful debut season, with viewing figures climbing, and a source suggests that ITV is already planning for its continuation.

The Fortune Hotel” is a strategic guessing game that pits ten pairs of contestants against each other in a battle to win £250,000. Each pair is given a briefcase, only one of which contains the cash prize, while the rest are empty, and one even contains an ‘Early Checkout‘ card. The game unfolds in a luxurious Caribbean resort, and at the end of each episode, a couple must leave, having failed to hold onto the right briefcase.

The source, speaking to The Sun, revealed that ITV is committed to the show’s future: “Launching new formats is a gamble these days, but despite a considerable spend, ITV is working on plans for round two.”

The first series of “The Fortune Hotel” has been described as “perfect reality TV viewing,” with contestants engaging in deceit, lies, and betrayal. The game encourages scheming and alliance-forming as contestants fight to stay in the competition and get their hands on the cash.
